Perfect Body Myth
For this assignment I tackled the representation of women's bodies online. More often than not, the standards represented by media are unrealistic and whitewash beauty standards. Having predominately thin, white models can be detrimental to what is "acceptable" for the female body to look like. This disruption takes the user to various links speaking about gender and what it means to have a female body, as well as the infantilization of feminine sexuality.

I went to an all-girls Catholic high school, where I learned what conservative organized religion has in community, it lacks in tolerance and acceptance. It was in the first year that I realized I'm attracted to women along with the stigma that accompanies being queer in an oppressive space. My then girlfriend and I would rendezvous after classes to explore our sexuality without punishment. Increasingly, the school put more pressure on us to not display affection and only places aside from the empty chapel and classrooms that became safe was the ladies bathroom.
