Check out the information below regarding a call for proposals for the "Critical Themes in Media Studies Graduate Student Conference," taking place April 5th and 6th of 2014. Proposals are due by January 1st, 2014, so make sure to submit if you're interested!

I am contacting you from the School of Media Studies at The New School in New York City. I invite graduate students at NYU Polytechnic Institute's Integrated Digital Media program to submit proposals to present at our upcoming annual Critical Themes in Media Studies Graduate Student Conference taking place April 5 - 6, 2014 in New York City. This year’s conference theme is Transgressing Media. Conference details and submission guidelines are outlined in the attached PDF. Proposal submissions are due by January 1st, 2014.

The Media Studies Department at The New School focuses on the intersection of theory and practice-based scholarship. In accordance with our tradition, we encourage the submission of proposals that include short abstracts for papers, projects, and presentations from theorists and practitioners, including collaborations.

Please extend this invitation to your students through your department-wide email, newsletter, and/or blog. We encourage NYU Polytechnic Institute graduate students in Integrated Digital Media department to submit and present amongst the top theorists and practitioners in the field of media studies presenting at our conference next spring.
